Conducting stakeholder workshops
To understand the product better, several stakeholder workshops took place to gain an understanding of the business objectives, we looked at what the 'perfect' creator user journey would be. An ideal future V1.5 roadmap was discussed as an insight to the company's aspirations.

Understanding the needs of Arabic users
A lot of research went into the needs of right-to-left script users and how they differ from left-to-right in terms of interactions. Some interesting takeaways;
- Digits are written from left to right although copy is not
- Not all icons need mirroring
- RTL search results copy length maybe longer than LTR

Content creator competitor research
I looked at various content driven video platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo to understand why users uploaded content and how the sites helped them on this journey. This was very useful to see how such platforms engage with their creators and what tools / rewards they supply.
Personas
After looking at current creator user data in detail, it was noticeable there were different levels of creator participation, these were categorised into personas;
- Aspiring creator (looking to create content, wants to take part in workshops)
- Moderate creator (creates content from time to time)
- Expert creator (creates content regularly with a successful channel)

Experience maps were created for each persona, these helped to understand the needs of the new user types so that the experience would be personalised for each level.

Implementing the new branding into the product - creating a design system
A design system was proposed to incorporate the new branding, this had to consider the Arabic user needs as well as western users, components had to be versatile and adaptive.
A selection of screens were worked up to high-fidelity for stakeholder buy in as well as handing over to the product teams for implementation. These were translated into 3 languages and considered left to right alignment of content.A design system was proposed to incorporate the new branding, this had to consider the Arabic user needs as well as western users, components had to be versatile and adaptive.
